Questions About Professional Organizing
It is normal to have questions before inviting someone into your home. Here are answers to common questions about working with Clutter to Calm.
Do I need to clean before you come?
No. You do not need to clean, organize, or prepare your home before we arrive. It is actually helpful for us to see how the space is currently being used.
Will you judge my home?
Absolutely not. Our work is judgment-free, private, and supportive. We help people because clutter happens in real life, not because anyone did anything wrong.
Do I have to throw everything away?
No. You stay in control of your belongings. We help you make thoughtful decisions about what to keep, donate, relocate, recycle, or discard.
Can you organize without me?
Sometimes. For spaces where decisions are already clear, we may be able to work independently. For decluttering or personal items, we usually need your input.
How long does organizing take?
Small spaces may take 3–4 hours. Larger rooms, garages, kitchens, move-ins, and whole-home projects may take multiple sessions.
Do you bring organizing products?
We can recommend products and may suggest bins, labels, drawer dividers, baskets, shelving, or containers. Product costs are separate from organizing time.
Can you shop for organizing supplies?
Yes. Shopping time is billed at the regular hourly rate unless a different arrangement is made.
Do you remove donations?
We can help sort and prepare donations. Donation drop-off may be available depending on the project, location, and volume of items.
Do you work with people who have ADHD?
Yes. We can create simple, visual, low-friction systems designed to reduce overwhelm and make daily routines easier.
Do you help with hoarding situations?
We can help with clutter and overwhelming spaces, but severe hoarding situations may require additional support from specialized professionals, cleaners, therapists, or safety teams.
Do you offer recurring maintenance?
Yes. Our Calm Home Membership offers monthly, biweekly, or custom ongoing organizing support.
What areas do you serve?
We serve Boulder County and nearby Front Range communities including Boulder, Longmont, Louisville, Lafayette, Superior, Erie, Niwot, Broomfield, Golden, Arvada, and surrounding areas.
